Here To Help You Recover After A Work Accident

Fatal California construction workers’ accident

The California woman turned on the entrance to go home, just like she would any other night. Except that she had been drinking and didn’t realize the entrance ramp was closed. Not only that the entrance ramp was closed but that it was under construction and there were several workers on the scene. By the time the California woman may have realized all of this, it was already too late. She directly caused a construction workers’ accident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman initially hit a moving Caterpillar loader, followed by a concrete K-rail and a construction worker. The construction worker, from Beaumont, California, died four days later from injuries sustained from the impact. The woman’s front passenger also sustained injury and was transported to Riverside Community Hospital.

The late construction worker was a contracted worker by the city of Riverside, but this worker’s death was preceded by the deaths of three construction workers killed while on the job in San Diego County within a span of three months.

That means there are four families that are now experience unimaginable heart ache. In addition, these workers could have been the sole source of income within the family. Accidents like these cause unimaginable emotional and financial stress on the families of the departed. While no amount of money can bring back the family’s loved one, compensation may help bring some amount of closure to the situation.

The California woman pled guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter. The plea bargain the defendant agreed to includes an 18 year prison sentence. She is scheduled to a sentence hearing in Riverside in the coming weeks.
